Public Relations
Your message is unique and important. It must be heard by the right people, at the right time, and those people must be convinced your message is the right one. I.G.S. leverages three decades of public service, media and business experience to connect our clients with targeted audiences, in the process building long-term relationships that enhance your identity and reputation.
Services - often delivered concurrently in a comprehensive public relations plan - include public opinion research and measurement, media planning and outreach, crisis management, and government affairs initiatives to introduce or change public policy. The best PR is proactive, precise, and measurable. The I.G.S. approach to public relations applies these core principles to create impact plans that meet our clients’ diverse needs.
Film & Entertainment
Show business is a growth industry in Connecticut. As Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives in 2005, Jim Amann was the architect of a bold tax incentive plan designed to attract film, TV, and music production work to the Nutmeg State. The result: Connecticut is now “Hollywood East” and a player on the national entertainment stage, with 125 movies made here to date. TV programs such as The Big C, Maury, Are We There Yet?, and The Jerry Springer Show, as well as studios Blue Sky (Ice Age, Horton Hears a Who) and NBCsports.com, have decided to make Connecticut their home.
Clients who seek to capture these tax-advantaged incentives need seasoned professionals who are familiar with the administrative side of state government. I.G.S. counsels clients on how best to navigate through the thicket of bureaucratic steps necessary to access these valuable tax credits–ensuring that your production moves from concept to launch.
Economy
Everyone is touched by the actions of government. Our state government has a reputation as one where people, businesses, and organizations go to solve problems, often with unintended consequences. Understanding these delicate actions and reactions should be a part of everyone’s business plan.
I.G.S. represents the best interests of our clients before the Legislature. We get ideas heard, legislation introduced, build bipartisan coalitions in support of our clients’ initiatives, and closely guard against legislation that may inhibit entry to new markets or increase the cost of doing business.
As former, and proud, public servants, the professionals at I.G.S. have operated successfully within the machinery of state government for over three decades. I.G.S. knows how things get done.
